The Keep is a granite mesa that claims the center of Moonwell. Its all but impossible to reach its top as its side are too steep to climb. The beset means to get there is by wing, which means The Keep is a haven for birds of all kinds. The avian inhabitants can be heard all across the island, providing a strangely delightful cacophony for those who seek out sugar melons, which grow in the surrounding meadows. Those who are determined to reach the Keep's crown can take a sketchy path up the mesa where a seasonal water fall cuts through it during the spring and early summer. It is slippery earlier in the year thanks to the rain—so not very safe—but in late summer to early winter surefooted animals can hop from rock to rock until they reach the top.
